Jackson 5 - I Want You Back

Just because they are going to be playing instruments, it doesnt mean we have to constrict them to indie music. It can still be quite poppy!

One Direction...Bringing in Musical Instruments

As we have chosen to go in the direction of introducing musical instruments to the band, I thought I would look at previous bands that found success from this method...

...We can bring in musical instruments to build their credibility and to give british 'manufactured' boybands a new spin.

Brand Sponsorship

As we are looking to get sponsporship from Vans, I decided to look up who else they are currently in partnership with music wise....
http://www.vans.co.uk/music/

Some of the bands that they are currently supporting include:

-The Hives
-The Foo Fighters
-Black Lips
-Datarock

These bands are quite edgy and have an older and cooler audience appeal. However, Vans may agree with a sponsorship with the boys as they will bring in the younger teenage customers and enlarge their customer profile. I do think a change in the bands direction does need to happen as they wouldn't be taken seriously by Vans if they are cheesy.

Bringing in musical instruments may help this.

One Direction Debut Single & Album Coming In June!

Fans of the boyband can expect new material from the lads this summer...

One Direction have announced that they are planning to release fresh material in June.

The X Factor heartthrobs, who came third behind Matt Cardle and Rebecca Ferguson on last year's series, claim that fans can expect their debut single and LP this summer.

When asked about their new music on The Alan Titchmarsh Show, member Zayn Malik revealed: "I think we're looking to release in the summertime - June sometime."

Justin Bieber look-a-like Liam Payne then added: "We just want to make a massive track to start off with and see where it goes from there."

The lads recently flew out to Los Angeles to start work on their first studio album, where they hit the studio with Lady GaGa's producer RedOne - much like fellow XF act, Cher Lloyd, who has also been working with the hitmaker on her debut LP.

Band member Louis Tomlinson also previously confessed to The Metro that their mentor, Simon Cowell, has left them alone to "develop their own sound" on the album, with Harry Styles stating that the boyband want to "surprise people."
